  1. Visual Art Class with Alice

    November 10, 2020, 11:00 AM

From The Harlem Renaissance to Hip Hop with Alice Mizrachi Visual Art sessions presented by interdisciplinary artist based in New York and Miami, Alice Mizrachi. Alice’s activist ideology is weaved into her studio, public art and education practices. Mizrachi’s intentions include the empowerment of self and others through artistic expression, as well as advocacy for women, youth, and the environment. This 4-session art workshop series is focused on the influences of The Harlem Renaissance and its impact on the emergence of Hip Hop culture. We will use our favorite poems, lyrics, songs and expressions from both of these enriched eras to create works of art that inspires us into innovation. With an aim to create an empowering vision of self through culture, this art workshop will highlight the best version of ourselves as we continue to heal, grow, learn and create in these challenging times.
